Missed out the first time? Going Solo is back
Registration opens today for cohort two — claim your spot!
Just one month after the first Going Solo cohort sold out, I’m thrilled to announce that registration for the second cohort is open today!
Given the overwhelming interest from our waitlist, the second cohort will again focus on newsletters. (But we’re actively planning future cohorts centered around video and audio, so stay tuned!)
Our first cohort is already delivering on its promise to equip aspiring solo journalists with the essential tools, strategies and insights needed to turn their visions into sustainable ventures. Here’s what one student recently said about our session focused on financial strategy:
“The level of detail alone on all the financial stuff (which I feel like I need SO much handholding on) was worth the price of admission and incredibly reassuring.”
Financial and emotional wellbeing is just one piece of the course. We designed it to address the most common pain points that we’ve heard in our research with independent creator journalists, including the need for an intellectual community. Going Solo instantly deals you in to an intimate, supportive community that will extend well beyond the six-week workshop into a lasting network of allies in the creator journalism space.
Two reasons why we're moving forward quickly:
Sheer interest. Our first cohort sold out in a week and a half, and our waitlist grew to 50 people. We hear the need, and we want to help people hit the ground running.
Mainstream media continues to face pressure and constraints, particularly around amplifying diverse and dissenting voices. Independent journalists have the opportunity to build sustainable platforms of their own that serve audiences and build trust in ways that legacy media is struggling to do.
We’d love to have you join us for Going Solo’s second cohort. Space is limited so that we can foster that community we talked about! Learn more at the link below and sign up today.
